Handcrafted in Tennessee is a small, female-owned workshop based in Nashville, Tennessee.  Here, the artist creates a variety of projects using reclaimed materials, mostly wood and tin. Check out the portfolio below.

study

Before picking up the first piece of wood or other material, the artist thinks through the concept, including the intended recipient and the time and skill set needed to see the project through to the end.

choose

Once the artist makes the hard decisions on what/how to construct items, time is spent looking through piles of reclaimed lumber and other materials, carefully hand-selecting each item, ensuring it has the right character for the project.

create

Aside from a few sanded knuckles and splintered palms, the artist has sincere fun creating our products, honing the craft with each handmade wood cut, snip, or burned-in image.

finish

Each item is thoughtfully inspected, both visually and with a soft bare hand, ensuring all “character traits” are smoothly sanded out and ready for continued love and admiration for years to come.

behind the work

All items are handmade, often using reclaimed wood that was found, leftover from others’ projects, or donated. There are no piles of products sitting or hanging about waiting for purchase. Each item is handcrafted and unique, made specifically for you.
